Have made this wing for a TCN set up hopefully will clean the furrow out at the start and Finnish not sure weather to use the narrow wing or the wider one for general work ?

For TCN’s be careful of using the wider wings for match work. They were after all made for up to 12” work.

I tried both early on and found that the wider ones do not like hard ground. What happens is that there being little or no hinge then the furrow slice breaks off and due to the abrupt nature of the body pushes across toward the ploughing before any inversion starts. Ultimately this means that proper inversion is not possible.

Use of the wide wings whilst opening stops the mouldboard steering the plough. It does also disturb in an unpleasant way what after all are to be the crown furrows so counterproductive really.

These days kevin, I need to gain five or six, still one is better than nothing! I have been playing with some hydrein shares, def a change in the work, but, for better or worse?

Something adrift Harry. Probably not majorly but bright one and a dullen - your wheel track setting does not help.
Looks as though the back share is cutting it right across whilst the front is still pulling it up from underneath with the front 3 inch doing most of the work. Front one is also laid in a hole - possibly needs a tad both narrower and deeper.

£200 seems a lot for the new shares from Ireland so it looks like it’s a patience job.

Not wising to pee on your bonfir Kevin but the area at the intersection of the mouldboard where it meets the wing furthest away from the furrow wall is critical.

25s are exactly the same. On 25’s you can forge this area down to give a gentle transition as there is nothing underneath.

TCN’s are slightly different but always go better as they get more and more worn at this point. The frog is right underneath. Always make sure that the back edge of the wing does not create an abrupt point at which the furrow slice breaks its Bach over.

Wheel setting is 56" centres. That was the first time out with those shares and nothing waas done to the plough, disk settings etc, I wanted to see if they went in the ground! The work is much firmer from them, so something is right. But they will need some fettling to get anything like right, and I dont have any practise land!
Has Mark no new ones left? they were £60 each when I spoke to him last.

This is what mine ended up looking like, as mentioned maybe worth trying a standard share with a modified to see if there is any difference, although like others, no practice ground available unless I want to do a week's worth of stone picking first!
