I think you'll have to change the fittings on the end of the nylon long and short guts too to hooks. They should be threaded and screw off.

Equipment question:

I’ve got a lister solid drive that rattles horribly, led to believe that worn spindles in the elbow joint can cause this, looking at them they were definitely needing replaced as there wasn’t much left of the oil grooves.

Bought a pair from Horner, but the ones they’ve sent are for the hooked guts, where as mine screw into the guts. I tried to explain this on the phone but the lady I spoke to didn’t seem to think there was an option…..is there? Is my dropper ancient? (Bought it second hand) Do I need to change to hooked guts?
Listers in general rattle like that !
The earlier ones where hooked guts , your one is more modern, no need for you to change types.
Wouldnt say your cogs where to badly worn but wouldn’t do any harm to replace them .

Phone is starting to ring no with people wanting dates so season is definitely getting underway. Did a bunch of blue texel hogs today which were a bit dry but went ok. Onto some Hampshires then, first time on this breed, certainly slowed the average speed somewhat :ROFLMAO:

Had to go and do 50 hoggs on Tuesday night. Thought it wouldn’t take very long, until I looked in the stables and it was full of cotswolds. 😩.

Done 200 suff x chev ewe hoggets today. They were in great order but absolutely could do with sunshine. Harsh cold wind blowing all day. Far too early Pure sticky cheese on the necks and bellies. 250 hoggets tomorrow. I'm hoping for easier going

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
