Only worth buying from the original and best @Tim W that quantity this time in the year may be challenging though. Probably best to pre order for next year!

@CopperBeech The main reason you can't find ewe lambs is there just isn't enough to supply demand
The lack of knowledge on a flocks health status isn't limited to shedders ---it's a national problem
Agreed with the first bit ....... and the second.

However where I asked initially - you and I both know what several folk there have ewe lambs to sell ......

I am just amazed how few folk are willing to stick their hand up and speak about their health status.

We have put a lot of time and money into being ‘clean’ and it makes you wonder why ....... when seemingly no one else even knows.

Obviously I do know why, but you know whatvi

Aye ...... I do know what you’re saying. But if you are buying off / through Tim you might be buying some of mine. We are an exlana multiplier flock. Only this year we are keeping all of our home bred lambs.

We have a lot of ewe lambs and will probably tup 1200/1500 home bred.

But was interested to see what else was out there in the name of testing.

And also was a round about way of me asking folk about their health status.

y'see 🙄 ....why da ya go and do that🙄...they were happily having a 'love in' and you go and stir it up😁......would you put a pic of a plough on 'dd' thread🙄
I wouldn’t call it a love in so to speak....unless you’re offering 😉.....just trying to source breeding stock of a certain type from a a farmer who actually understands health status / ice bergs etc. Which apparently are few and far between.

As much as Mr neilo likes to stir, he does indeed understand the above.

Unfortunately as he has the absolute worst wool shedders to be found across the four corners of the globe ........... he sort of isn’t qualified to speak on the rest 😂

My sh!t Shetland x shedders sold as 2 tooth for £145/hd last year. Anything better bred will be more expensive.

Health status, seed stock are mainly sourced from Shetland, so should be clear of MV, Enzo and Toxo. No vaccine other than clostridial (bravoxin 10) are used. Intend to start screening for iceberg diseases this year, but won't be seeking any form of accreditation.
