Side Discharge Manure / Muck / Compost Spreader For Orchard

We're looking at investing in a side discharge compost spreader for our apple orchard to spread mainly green council waste for mulching, but struggling with finding many options for the UK, does anyone have any experience with any of these? Any other suggestions?

Agrofer (http://npseymour.co.uk/machinery/side-discharge-spreader-2/) - seems like the right idea, not sure on wood paneling and also quite pricey for our use

Principal Parts (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUNG-MANU...ne-Spreader-/181441140130?hash=item2a3ebc15a2) - seems quite small and probably not the best quality given the price

Kuhn 8110 (http://www.kuhnnorthamerica.com/us/range/manure-spreaders/side-discharge-spreaders/8110.html) (Seems to be US only) - we like this one most but can't find a UK supplier

Many thanks!

When i worked on the big fruit farm we had the one in your 1st link. It was used to put compost and cow muck under the cherry trees. Was ok when you got used to it. Not the most reliable of spreaders though.

How far does it need to throw the compost?

Just as a bit of off the wall thinking, what about a mixer wagon with an extended conveyor?

There are plenty of this type of thing available second hand:

We did actually try that last year with our feeder wagon and it worked well enough, but our tractor was a bit underpowered and put a lot of wear on the PTO clutch. We've upgraded our tractor this year and it now has a wet PTO clutch so maybe we'll give it another go as it should be able to handle it better.
