luckily, we ran the aerator over a far bit, before the rain :) grass growing like crazy, except a few large weedy patches, where it died ! But, even though we had a lot of rain, the stream by us, has shrunk back to a trickle again.

Cut and tedded on Saturday, baled on Monday night, stacked yesterday.
99 of these off 18 acres to finish off silage 2020, more than enough for any man:stop:.
Glad we got it done as normal weather pattern resumed today:facepalm:

You were lucky to have it dry on Sunday.

Serious day today. Grazing is disaster again. Really hate this country at times. Thinking of buying a farm in the west country!

We had a fine drizzle for about 5 minutes on Sunday morning, but was talking to someone who was in Broughshane and got a heavy shower at the same time.

we always ask contractor, 'permission to cut', this time the answer was no, not baling grass, until straw caught up with ! Trouble is, ideal stage, and would quite like another cut !!!! Been short of grass all summer, growing like crazy now.

I would ring someone else. Don’t be beheld to a contractor. He is turning you down in effect so no shame in ringing someone else.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
