We loaded 24 haylage and 48 hay on a lorry and it was up to weight so either they are a contractors delight or VOSA delight?

Bean straw is very good bedding, it's got a bit of a foamy center like rape to absorb, and it doesn't need many whole beans and the pod cases left in it for cattle to go at it to eat.

You all bale any old crap down there, the arable boys up here won’t even let us into a rape field. Each unto their own. The Irish lads that come over are flabbergasted we are not on slats.

Think farmers may be missing a point in that these harder products are fine for bedding if put through a mill, take dry sawdust .you would not try and bed cattle on planks
