Winter barley around here is shocking , wheat on heavy ground is shocking , light ground better.

Makes me laugh the bullsh1t has started for new season straw already

No one is writing any BS about new season straw.

People are just reporting what the crops look like in their area at the moment, of course like any other year some parts of the country crops will look very good, other parts of the country they will be average and some parts they will look crap.

On the price front the truth is no one really knows what standing straw will make at sales in a few weeks time and until the sales take place it will be all but impossible to say what trade will be like as a lot can happen either way between now and then.

You may see some bulls**t at these early sales selling standing straw , they will lose their heads without question .If they get good harvest weather in Kent where will it go .just watch the price fall

And being direct drilled into wet sh1te , the old adage of dust behind the drill regarding spring drilling is lost on some people , some of this direct drilled corn won’t come to anything.
I'v seen some real wet ground turned under this spring.

Can look into a neighbours and half the field is turned up yellow clay!
