There is a Burrows still at Luscombe farm . Not sure if they are related . The son would be about 65 now

Yes, slag was the worst . Always seem to turn up just as I got home from School . Remember a 20 ton load of slag parked in the yard at 4-30, dad had gone out for the day . Me and the driver unloaded it , would have been 12 years old , you got used to it . That's what we did .is that fert on the other lorry ! that was work unloading those bags, no grip.

A friend used to lead some with a TK Chinese 6 with a canopy and straw extension on the back. Have you seen them?
Father used to buy the 17 tonnes ones then de rate them to 7.5 by burning the helper spring stops off then he put new ones on when he got home.I fitted big tipper springs on that one

what sort /size of bales , and grass makes a difference?I'm in the north east, Farmer's Weekly quoting 65 a ton for hay off the field......local fella's who usually shift ours are keeping very quiet. Anyone up this way got any ACTUAL figures as we'll have the baler in again soon and need to decide where it's going

This is the problem, some folk are stocked as per, the next farm over is well down. ....lots of hedging going on it would appear....i just want to shift some bales as perfodder is going to take some shifting off the field now imo
A mixture of rye and meadow...could be anything from little squares to rounds to big squares......that is the quandrywhat sort /size of bales , and grass makes a difference?
