You go and do a deal you stick to it, if your so thick your selling something you don’t have then you deserve all the Shyte you will have landed on you. Don’t talk rubbish about it not being avaliable, there are auctions everywhere.
All it boils down to is greed over integrity, they have the money to take a hit on a poor business deal.
Probably let down or gazumped by the growers. Not many would lose money under those circumstances....

Still his problem in doing a deal, let farmers down, told them it was coming then got to the stage of not answering the phone, by that time had cost them another £30 ton. Away day straw merchants, deal with them at your peril.

A lot of posts have been removed in the last half hour and now you're back to "talk" again why not stick to prices.

No i am reporting prices and what people thought trade would be like going forward.

If you want posts like that banned then there is no point of having price tracker threads and if posts like that are banned then at least half the posts on the beef/sheep tracker thread would need to be removed every day for example.

Oh and if you want people to stick to prices only then perhaps you should take your own advice fieldfarmer and not put up posts like the above of your's that i am quoting....

And yep posts have been removed tonight including ones that actually quote real auction prices or information about forage auctions today which is a complete and utter nonsense on a thread dedicated to forage prices!

But you said earlier that dealers were saying its going to be £200 by Christmas, at the same market on the same day so if you stop listening to gossip stick to prices this thread will be a better place.

If every price tracker thread on here has posts removed from people posting what other people have told them what they think trade will be going forward then half the posts on this thread/ the beef lamb thread/ the milk price/ grain price/ fert price tracker threads will all have to be removed.....

Yep the dealers were saying all morning straw prices would go to £200 ton after Xmas, then said dealers only bid £112 for delivered straw so yes i think that is very relevant to this thread and should be posted.

And at the same time this morning most buyers were saying that the straw price has reached its peak and will drop after Xmas so again that needs to be reported on here!

Im not talking prices up or down with the above, just saying what the talk/ feeling at the auction was!

I myself actually thought trade would be dearer today for straw and whilst most buyers think prices have reached their peak now in all honesty im not at all convinced that will the case going forwards this winter.
