Anybody know what welger baled 4x4 bale of hay delivered 2 miles to horsey should be worth? I charged £50. Is that Fair,expensive or cheap?

About what it should be ....definitely no less

Bought a stack of silage last night for £15 a bale (160 bales) don't have to move it till I want to use it. Nice stuff, pleased with that .

There’s a lot of folks that have silage and stock who are hanging onto it quite a few on their second year of doing so

Bloke has sold his cattle and let the buildings and 20 acres for horse livery .
Let the rest of the farm for grass keep £310 an acre !! ( 65 acres )

How long is a piece of string, so many variables in the scenario you mention.

Where as for chopping the biggest variable is yes or no

Was that deal made over thatchers gold by any chance cos around here you would have to hold a gun to somebody head to get a deal like that but then you are in God's county

£5 per round bale £7 this year with net and juice

Which is another reason why less beef cows will be kept . A dairy bred weanling /store will eat half that and show the same profit margin

A bale of silage should be worth £38 or£40 this year
