View attachment 1045756Voyce Pullin stranding straw sale, what if it was going to pee it down for a week? Seem very old fashioned to me.

I suppose if you buy knowing the arrangement then you are prepared to take the risk of it getting wet on a Sunday .
The vendor above doesn't ban Sunday work just aks to avoid if possible ....but I do know that before they combine they ring you up to make sure you can get it baled ...i.e. They won't combine your straw on a Sat afternoon if you can't get it baled . In fact they won't combine it any day if the weather is dodgy until till the straw purchaser has been contacted to make sure they can get it baled . ......can't be more 'Christian ' than that .
.....and I've even known them go out and stack up straw for a purchaser to save it getting wet.

Who is that 🤔

Maybe my shed full of wheat straw at £80/t will look dear come harvest? 🤔
If diesel stays high then baling/stacking and hauling will add fair amount per tonne onto the price!
There was some standing grass for sale I got my eye on 76 acres about 40 miles away I had a quick tot up on the calculator what it was going to cost me to get it home I got a bit of a surprise
