Should I sell my cattle then I can sell all my straw and corn and have a winter off ? £100/ ton of the field ???
All I can say it is proving difficult to try and buy swathed straw, the farmers are seeing pound notes that should of come their way last winter and seem unwilling to believe that this winter will not be the same.

Not surprised , got a mate in Devon who seen sb from the road and you can see the dirt between the rows , will never amount to much now

Had rain the last week, it will make a hell of a difference to corn ( both winter and Spring sown )

Will be no demand at straw making £100t ex field as that will put it at £140/150t on farm, at those prices farmers will sit it out and buy as and when they need it next winter!

I quite agree things will change a bit , I cannot see straw making a £100 a ton off the field either
