Looking like all the ones talking the straw price down below cost early harvest have stabbed everyone in the back again this year and will cost the livestock farmers a lot of money again ! 3rd time in 6 years ! That’s the Power of social media
Rubbish, Lincolnshire is a wash with straw that can’t be given away. I have barn stored wheat that I can’t get anyone to move out of my way. Going to have to stack it outside to make room for stock coming in

lad who comes over to cart spuds want 1500 bales and his mate wants straw too £60 a ton
they been very wet over there and another lad in ballymena who not heard of for 3 years been on looking for barley straw

The amount of people in the straw job now is staggering. Every other farmer has a big baler round here, desperate for every acre of straw to buy. I have know idea how it stacks up, look like busy fools to me!

Yes, I’ve had a few on to me asking if i have any barley but we just bale wheat for ourselves
