Outside or in . Outside put a that last load of grass on top of the sheet, only sprincle , wetter stuff if you can , Depending on size more or less, water it with a hose pipe and spread some grass seed on top ,

Why on earth would you want to do that??

Things have maybe moved on since I last covered a pit 10 yrs ago but is the oxygen barrier (cling film) worth it? Used to be side walls, 2 layers of black plastic on top, secure cover then some gravel bags.

100% worth it. Wouldn't be without it now. Zero waste when used.

I used the cling film then top sheet, contractor did my 45 acres in 4 hours.
significantly easier and cheaper than hay/ wrap.
mind you they spent then next two hours drinking my cider!

Be a right shitttty mess in winter to clean off before rolling sheet up ??

No they left me to sheet up!
in their defence it was 10.30pm. It’s an inside clamp so I wanted to put touching bales over it so we left it until the morning. Took a while but looks a treat.
