Silver weed

Can anyone help with advice please; two of my fields are covered in silver weed, why? I do have a lot of Graylag geece coming there but i don't think it's their fault although they do eat all the grass with their young ones. People say you can eat silverweed root, but we'd have to go some to clear that lot, and i don't have a big or desperate enough family for that. Possibly in the dystopian future????

I think it grows out of the hedge normally. I would try a bit of grazon on it, I have only ever attacked it in maize as opposed to grass I'm afraid.

living in the Western Isles, i don't have any hedges, sadly. but it may have come in with birds? thanks for tip, will try that instead of eating it all.

I mean field boundaries... :ROFLMAO:

I don't know if it produces seeds or what but I would hazard a guess that is grows from roots that creep in from the hedges of fields. I have never tried to kill it in grass, I would think grazon would give it a knock, give it a try first or try a similar grassland herbicide if you have it in stock to see if there is any effect. It is a weird plant.

Will you help clear snow?
