Does anyone have one of these? Cannot unscrew this barrel, is there a different way to remove it?

I recently disassembled a rusty pneumatic Lobster riveter with a similar problem. I'd suggest gentle heat, PlusGas, and gentle tapping with two padded mole grips....and time and patience. Use brute force and something will break. Sometimes even boiling water is enough. Just remember steel expands with heat, but don't over do it.

Dip it in hot water , don’t hit it they are brittle plastic , unfortunately our one shattered trying to strip it .
Now I tent to leave them and stick the delivery tube in a bucket of hot water and pump it through to clean it
Remove the mouth piece and drop a few drops of veg oil in the barrel to lube the seal
We have a steel one that is more robust and you can attack it with more gusto !

Its twist lock. no threads on it but lugs that locate in holes that are visible on the body

see the 2 holes on the body where the barrel fits ,

to remove barrel just hold body with left hand grip barrel with right hand maybe thin rag to grip or maybe if its really stuck carefully with a water pump pliers then just twist the barrel about 4 mm (not much more else youve gone too far) or so the lug is just out of the hole anticlockwise and at that point it (the barrel) should pull out with right hand . replacement is just the reverse but line up carefully about 4mm off the lug in the anticlockwise direction before pushing back in and twisting clock wise 4mm to lock. iyswim bit of a knack in doing it .
might be a bit different to 4mm buts its not much.

after doing it a time or 2 you might want to have some insulation tape and wrap a few turns around where the barrel meets the body to stop it accidentally undoing in use because its not like threads on something where you can tighten it up .

keep the soft material wiper on the piston covered with some silicon grease and fill with clean water after cleaning after use and store moist. will give no trouble then until the o r ings or barrel wears
