Slate roof alternative

Im planning on putting up a steel framed building, its going to be quite close to the house. Has anyone used a slate effect roof sheet over normal tin sheets or any other alternative. The plan is to clad the buildings gable ends in waney edge type wood, trying to make it look a bit less 'agricultural ' if i can.
Have seen a few small pictures of slate effect tin but hard to imagine it on a good sized building . Any other suggestions would be appreciated

I’ve been trying to find a box profile that matches the aluminium folded roof sheeting, but had no luck. Everything looks a bit fake to me, would rather use old style corrugated.

Why don’t you use slates if it matters that much to you?
Guy next door is using slate on his.
Its a steel frame agricultural building, i think to put slates on it might need a structure engineer report to see if the steels are big enough for the load bearing then the purlins will have to be altered to accommodate the slates but im half tempted to just slate it if there was an easy way.
Steadmans do a slate panel thats part of an insulated panel but its fair money, does look good though

We put up a composite clad workshop for a customer and he wanted to make it look better as neighbours houses were close, we used a product called meta-slate .

That looks a good compromise, are they in panel form which you lay across the roof, how are they joined/overlapped? Can you remember the price?
Thanks

It comes in 6m strips, you fix a starter rail at the eaves and it clips on with hidden fix .
Thanks for that. I rang steadmans but wasn't overly helpful, can only be used in conjunction with the insulation panels they said, i asked how much is it per m2, "very expensive" they said and that was that

We put it over 120mm composite, you could use it on 40mm composite, Steadmans weren’t that helpful to us as we were using kingspan composite roof sheet’s . I don’t think it will fit on just a tin roof, and it was a lot cheaper than putting a real slate roof on .

Could you just put it on boarding like the Eurocell product?
