Hi Everyone,

We recently diversified and upgraded our business to sell venison direct to the public, and now the demand is slightly increasing so we are looking for additional area for long term ideally in South West of England, but not limited to.

Please contact us if interested and if you:
-have no stalker in place currently
-agree with sustainably managed deer practices
-agree to maintain a healthy deer herd/population
-would like to get paid for deer taken off your land as a new income stream, and to get venison boxes regularly

Please take a look at our website and contact us if you have any questions.

References are available from existing land owners on request.

Been told by game dealer it’s virtually worthless at the moment as no hospitality trade. Imported farmed product from NZ both cheap and consistently good quality. Also a growing need for guarantees that it’s from a Tb free area, it’s a growing problem.
Decent money is in stalking clients not selling the carcass.

I can only speak about our situation and don't really like to start a debate about the crash of the venison market and the possible reasons behind it...
I think it is a personal choice whether a stalker is focusing on clients or venison or both, we certainly try to find a good balance considering possible future trophy hunting ban too?
We are keen on promoting and selling locally sourced British wild venison. Our demand is increasing slowly that's why we are after some extra land, however we don't want to take on more land than we need, in order to achieve our goals.

Certainly hospitality closure played a role in the crash of the venison industry but the problem started earlier with importing cheap venison from everywhere not only from NZ.
TB is an important factor for consideration just like others, lead/copper might come into play soon.

My stalker was saying he's lucky to get £20/carcass for Roe/Fallow at the moment from his game dealer, who has just re-opened after shutting down for the last year. Bonkers when you think the average joint of beef would be that or more. A shame as some great meat

That's true, game dealers pay next to nothing
I invested in to set up a venison processing unit, which is inspected and authorised by the council, and I process the carcass myself then sell it direct to the public.
Different way, hard work, but at least works while enjoying butchering too.

And because I process myself I can pay even £50-£100/carcass for the farmer
