The government could enforce every business in the UK to only use recyclable plastic, it doesn’t because it would cost too much, surely making us cover every slurry lagoon and field heap of FYM could be the same?

Same as i was thinking divide and conquer has been used by meat factories and milk processors for years.The policy for milk has been screw the small producer till they quit then get the big producer to produce for nothing they have no choice cus there so deep in debth

Being a small producer myself I’d have to disagree with the second part. Feel there’s probably more farms ran into trouble chasing litres than us small guys.

Having enough slurry storage for the rainy season is no bad thing, we need to probably triple the storage we have mainly to make better use of the nutrients. last time we added storage we were milking 80 cows.

Other than storage, I think there's a lot of salesmen taking full advantage of the confusion being caused by consultations and what rules MIGHT be imposed in the future.
