Hi there,
I have just bought a mchale 995lm small bale wrapper and have got it up to scratch, needed a few flange bearings etc and have got it running on 360mm wrap.
I know 250mm wrap is better for keeping the bale on the table but does anyone have any tips to keeping the bale on the table. I tested it today with the best option I had... with a hay bale I wet and got up to 28kg and then let the edges dry out so the rollers wouldnt get wet and the bale wouldnt just slip off immediately!
I also saw an unusual amount of air under the wrap once I had done 6 layers. is this a large problem?
I have supplied small bale hay for a few years now to equine customers along with large bales to livestock customers but thought I would give the small bale haylage game a go, so any advice for making equine haylage would be helpful also!
Any input would be much appreciated.
