SNP thieving from farmers again

The sooner we are rid of this snp/green coalition the better. They have proven themselves to be utterly inept at running our country. All they care about is hanging on to power by hook or by crook. I don’t have much faith in the other parties but this government appears to be rotten to the core

Another ring-fenced £46 million gone from the farming budget, on top of last year's £33 million theft. Unless I'm missing something.

I think you will find it is simply a withdrawal of benefits. A cursory glance at various tff threads will show most farmers on here are very much against benefits being dished out to the great unwashed, you are not going to suggest
Farmers should be exempt from cuts 😁

Just having a think about some of the comments on here. I recently went through some old farm records before shredding.

1995: grass fertiliser £108/ton. Good store lambs 60 quid each.
2023: grass fertiliser £800+/ton. And good store lambs? 60 quid each.

Let's get this straight. it's not the farmers who are on benefits, it's the public with their cheap food.

It's definitely not cheap at the moment.

As it should! Historically this was the case but over the last decades a smaller & smaller % of peoples wage gets spent on life’s essentials and a far larger % on life’s luxuries. So much so that people have come to view the luxuries as essential & resent paying for boring things like food
Why, do you want volume or a high price? I'm happy paying 10 quid a steak or 20 quid for a piece of lamb but it won't be weekly.
