Soft hands, locking or not locking side.

I'm going to buy one of these in the next few week, but which is best, the ones that you can lock or just the ordinary ones that open and shuts both side the same.

Our McHale can do any of the above but I've never locked it for any reason just have both sides moving

OK, just some say you can build the bales tighter but maybe make no difference.

Got a prodig grab here on handler always lock one side and build heap that way just find it easier

Having thoughts of building something like this for handling 2 at a time, have an old paper grab I think it was but the hands are just (well) bolted on so easy to change.
