How many people own there own soil test kits. And do they get good use from it.

I’m considering getting one that does n p k and ph.
And what are people’s views on Prilled lime as people around my way standard lime spreading kit is to big for my steep land. But I can happily potter around with my spinner to most places on the farm.
Cheers.

Do you mean pelleted lime in 50kg bags ? If so, it’s faster acting, but shorter lived. Usually two bags to acre initially and a bag every year after that. Grand for small areas as you can spread yourself with spinner, but costs at about 10 times more the ground lime and has to be redone every year.
