Sold items of machinery remaining on internet sales sites.

I rang up a farmer today about a tidy tractor I found for sale on a well known internet sale site (not this one). This turned out to be a short conversation because he told me he had sold it over a year ago. I couldn’t tell how old the advert was, and had applied a few of the sites filters to give me a list of suitable machines. Can sites either automatically take adverts down after a set period or put on the date an advert is listed to avoid wasting both buyers and sellers time?

Had it on here as well though. Been looking at trailers recently and there’s a few adverts coming up from months ago and sold months ago.

All sites should just put a 30 day limit so the seller has to delist it if not sold.

We have a particular problem in that sites like Farmers Weekly, Mascus etc... scrape dealer websites and ad your adverts to their listings. We always have people calling up about tractors we sold months ago as they are on farmers weekly. Well we haven't advertised on FW for nearly a year now, I went and had a look, sure enough there is our tractor and our contact details. It really is frustrating. The only place we advertise online is our own website, which is updated daily.

How much would a full page of machinery listings cost to list with FW then?
