Songbird id help

Not really an agricultural matter but thought it would get a better response here. Daughter has come home from preschool with a bird id thing where she has to tick off the birds she has seen and where she saw them. One of them has me stumped I don't know what it is...
The Welsh name they have given it is peneuryn but Google tells me there a yellowhammer which it isn't. I don't know what it is hoping someone can tell me because I can't find it on Google.

I didn't think of a bullfinch it might be the printer that made it look more yellow?
Peneuryn brought up GoldFinch. Looks different to the Goldfinch that come here.
It's not a goldfinch. We have some that nest in a hedge by the yard here that always fly in front when you drive down the road. It's nice to see early summer that there are more of them and they have been successful in rearing their young.
