Not sure how successful it was before, any dairymen/ladies? did it make a diffrence, it didnt raise price customer paid, so did they get their backing as they hoped.

I protested with Scoobyscotland and Big Phil and it was a huge success in that we reversed proposed price cuts. Things may not be good but they would have been a lot worse if we hadn't done it. I took the kids out because my husband got so down over the cuts that he couldn't do it again and after a couple of protests he was back out with us fired up. I personally feel as a small sheep farmer we too need to be more militant but maybe my husbands hatred if the supermarkets is just rubbing off. As an agricultural consultant I see many farmers making substantial profits and many making very little. Yes some are technically inefficient or over borrowed but many are just on a poor milk contract.

I went to, but was well aware that there were a lot who couldnt be bothered, and I was sorry about that heard so many excuses on twitter as to why folk couldnt go, but realy didnt think excuses were good enough, IMO it affects all aspects of farming from machinery sales people to the customer.
I went for no other reason than that I am passionate about British Farming & Food and those that produce it shuld be held in better regard than thaey currently are.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
