Sounds like you need covered up. Just wear your pants then, and boilersuit ontop.

I wear boilersuit all year round, spraying when weather is decent and seem to get covered in oil/grease/sh!t rest of time.

To carry my phone, tobacco, lighters, penknife, diary and pens I have to wear overalls all year too. Shorts and t-shirt underneath at the moment but if colder I’ve got dickies reaper trousers.

@Chasingmytail my wife makes children’s clothes out of oko tex jersey, it’s nice and light but also very flexible. She does do some leggings for women in some very nice or quirky prints... if you are interested i’ll Put the website link up..

Revisiting this, quite happy in shorts but the only tops i have are black polo shirts, most fruit of the loom cotton but wondering about 100% cotton check shirts that don't cost the earth, maybe short sleeved too, any ideas of supplier?

When doing the silaging this year... first time ever out working in shorts. Wasn't too bad but once back onto the bike and stock jobs or in the workshop the jeans were back on.

Clipping sheep, I wear the valueweight fruit of the loom cotton v-neck t-shirts. Buy them off Amazon or eBay for £2-£3 each... I like them being fairly tight fitting. They are thin, so sweat soaks them but it clears away very quickly and they stay comfortable and cool. They are that good I wear them a good 8 months of the year (switching to heavy cotton polo shirts for winter and spring for the extra warmth).

I've noticed that since I've been put on pills for my blood pressure I've been feeling the cold, couple of months ago, and now I'm really not coping with the heat. Dickies cotton shorts all day in this heat with a plain cotton shirt, hate wearing t shirts unless they're as a vest in the winter.
I'm so glad I don't have to do a job I had the joy to do a few years ago, acid spraying, dessicating the spud haulm, wearing one of those black Jeye cloth spray suits. Ye gods, that was just pure murder. I used to lose half a stone in sweat with just my boxers on underneath and pray I didn't get a rip or burst the crutch as a splash of that stuff didn't show any mercy!

found one of these is the business during the worst of the heat

thats kinda like what I had. soak in water then put on lasts a few hours. cools neck works well but. don't stick in the freezer to chill it down too cold and get headache from it

tried to get a new one. for last year while doing forest work in 38dC temps found holding a cold beer in yer hand and sitting in the shade worked better.
