Yes, started DD’ing Winter Barley. Needs to go on 2 weeks earlier than conventional. Conditions good but only dare put on half rate pre-ems ahead of forecast heavy rain. The rest will follow peri-em.

A lot of hybrid and forage rye going in locally into perfect conditions. Needed the rain to soften the ground .

Iv said to my self I won’t drill anything till after the 25of sept, but I might just drill a couple of heavy clay fields a bit earlier. that will probably go in well so might do a couple more fields while it’s dry. If the forecast looks a bit iffy I’ll probably keep going.
might get finished drilling by the 25 of September.
