Yes, probably loosens and moves the ground more than any other machine.can leave the fields very uneven ,if one subsoils the underlying shale in places.
Very risky to use it in the late spring early summer, as the subsoiling breaks the deeper grass roots, and a dry spell leads to a brown stripped field.
