Sprayer Calibration

Ok stupid question so I apologise in advance.

I want to spray at 100l/ acre my sprayer has 10ft booms and flow rate is 2.2l/minute. How fast do I need to go to achieve this spray rate? I know it's a backwards way of working things out but it's a needs must situation before I can sort it properly.

Cheers

Each nozzle is delivering 2.2l/min? That would be very coarse indeed.
Without checking I think a red 04 nozzle applies in the order 1.6l/min at 3 bar.
You are looking for 250litres/ha then, from an 06 nozzle at 2.5bar, which I should think puts you somewhere near 11kph at a guess

If you convert it to modern way 100l/a = 247.1l/ha, boom 10ft = 3m 6 nozzles gives you .5 m spacing and flow rate 2.2.
So
2.2 x 600 / 0.5 / 247.1 = 10.68 kph or 6.63 mph
I was wrong there because I read it as 100litres per ha, when he said acre.
Two of us got it to 10.7kmh now (OK, I rounded it up a bit but not seen a tractor that does speed to two decimal places)
yeah I have got it completely wrong, I thought the total pump output was 2.2 not 2.2 per nozzle.
