Way too late for that now I fear, hormone chemistry doesn't work at all well in cool conditions, I certainly would not d it in my area now. Unless you are in a completely different climate I would save your money and do it next year now.
Cut some three weeks ago - lots of fresh growth yesterday so they were hit with some Spear. It may not kill them but it will certainly slow them down and cheered me up, shouting "take that, you bu**ers" as I went round with the knapsack.
