Can you spray rushes at this time of the year?

Yip I know that but I've got a few customers that had cut them but they hav grew a bit at the minute?

Spraying with what product?
Rushes need to be attacked in June IMO when they are growing hard.
Get in there in the spring, and top the buggers down hard.
Wait until June/July when they are growing like trojans and lovely and green and soft.
Apply full rate 2,4D AND MCPA with adjuvant. Watch em go yellow before your eyes.
I did have a great picture of some I had done.

Way too late for that now I fear, hormone chemistry doesn't work at all well in cool conditions, I certainly would not d it in my area now. Unless you are in a completely different climate I would save your money and do it next year now.

Cut some three weeks ago - lots of fresh growth yesterday so they were hit with some Spear. It may not kill them but it will certainly slow them down and cheered me up, shouting "take that, you bu**ers" as I went round with the knapsack.
