Spring barley looking poor...

Some of the stuff i've sown is, some is ok, some is terrible!

It looks like i've sown it too thin, but I've not, it is desperate for a good downpour, I was thinking while driving from them earlier, there's not been drop of proper rain since they went in the ground.

How's yours looking?

Ours needs a good soak soon, its struggling tbh.

Peas are as well , plus if this cold snap comes they could well fail completely.

Same here.
Heavy ground sown a month ago looks awful. Some of it just germinated a week ago when it got the only 2mm it’s had.
Seem to have missed all the rain. Lots forecast last night which came to nothing yet again
Reckon it’s had it now going by forecast for the next week.

I'm in the same boat here, spring barley on the clay as it was far too wet to get a winter crop in.
Looking at putting something on it just to help it out a bit, (I know there is no substitude for moisture but thats not looking likely)
Came across the Yara vita range, anyone with experience of the croplift pro?
I've no idea of cost but thought I would ask here first before getting on the phone tomorrow.

I'm pleased with mine so far. But it needs rain very soon, or it'll be going backwards. Flooding in Carmarthenshire yesterday, and heavy downpours mid county, but nowt here.

Its like miracle grow. Good and cheap for the garden. I believe spud growers use it sometimes. i've used it odd times and I think it works but whether its worth the cost is another matter.

If you have rolled it and fertilised it and sloshed a bit of Mn you can't do much else.

In my experience these muck and magic potions are a bit of a waste of time.

If you do apply any. Leave a untreated area, so we/you can see the benefits

I saw another thread somebody was applying something similar to grass.

The rain this weekend has transformed spring barley around here. Everything a nice dark shade of green.

It looks perfectly green and even. Lots of people in here go on about auto section control sprayers and spreaders.

I know @7610 super q doesn't use them neither do I. Unfortunately my crops don't look as good as his.

I've a blocked outside spout in one field. Looks interesting.

The label recommendation for CropliftPro is 2.5 to 5kg/ha.
I'd be tempted to home brew the same analysis with 1kg of urea/ha, 5kg EpsoTop, 2L MnSO4, 40g/ha CuSO4, 20g/ha ZnSO4, and some SoP. I'm guessing the P and Ammonia N comes from comes from DAP?
Bucket test before you turn the tank to concrete, and knapsack a few square yards in the corner of the field to test ?
