Asking for a friend: what happens if you drill SB at some where near 220+kgs / ha ???

Drilled some Laureate here over weekend
450 seeds/m2
230kgs on lighter land upto 265kgs on the heavier stuff

Not bothering with any headlands now unless very light land as won't yield and waste of time and money this late on.

when the big lad came home from work i said to him, every time you look out the window that barley has growed! he said said keep looking out then got to be honest it's had the work's DAP MOP in seedbed+ sulphan and half the n on top.

Somehow we managed to get all but 12 acre of 200 spring barley drilled in March with a geriatric combi on a tractor not really big enough to properly boss it In anything other than perfect conditions.

good job it’s fairly Stoney well draining land.

just 30 or so acres of legume mix into proper heavy wet stuff left. That be next month I think . That will be painfully slow unless I risk blowing the power Harrow gearbox up with the big tractor up front.

I have this feeling the first recommendation from my agronomist is going to be ‘stick to cattle & leave the arable to the professionals’

I wouldn’t worry about that being thick. Will look after itself a lot better. Especially with this cold checkin it
