Spring oat seed dressing, is it prudent?

We are farm saving some canyon spring oats. Is it worth putting redigo pro on? They have tested at 96% germ and 1.9 vigour (very good). No disease testing done. They were new seed last year.

Thanks

What would the dressing cost you? Depending on your area and size of batch, I'd say it would cost more than the disease testing of the seed. I'm about to send mine off to Niab. Other labs are available. I used Duncan Thompson at Hubberts Bridge in the past but I don't know if he is still going - the screenshot from Yell.com suggests he still is. He used to send the samples off for disease testing but did the basic germ, TGW etc himself.

I use Duncan still. Very efficient.

It will cost £40/t or £6.67/ha. I have 8t to do. The only caveat is Anglia grain are here are we are just on a rain break doing the spring beans before jumping into the spring oats. So not enough time for rigorous tests... Will put it on I think and be more organised next year....
