In my immediate area not much has been drilled. Quite a bit of grain maize is still not cut. I have sunflowers still to combine but have at least got some cereals in after oilseed rape and beans (which are minority crops here). Most people who have crops still out there will just be happy to finish combining by Christmas. How was autumn sowing this year compared to normal in your area?

Nationally according to the french press around a quarter of french cereal farmers have yet to drill any cereals at all.
What is your normal sowing window? I assume you can successfully sow further into the winter than we can?In my immediate area not much has been drilled. Quite a bit of grain maize is still not cut. Funny you say that. A french neighbour told me it was too dry when he saw us drilling and he was waiting for rain. Someone normally says it to us every year.Too dry ...
