Spring wheat

What’s everybody’s looking like? Regrowth everywhere here. Liquid sunshine is the only option. We didn’t use it on winter wheat and quite frankly we’ve a mess in the shed to deal with.

That looks really green, but isn't Spring Wheat usually cut end August/September. But yes WW, SB, SW all have lots of regrowth and making harvest timing a lottery.

Oh yes it won’t be ready for a couple of weeks but we’ve stuff testing today at 17% and stuff testing at 32% as it’s still green.

the green ears in that photo outnumber the ripe ones and they are still photosynthesising. way too early to dessicate.

most spring crops here have green tillers in. some more some less. cut oats yesterday at 18% and SW at 20% today. 90% of grains will break your teeth. good fan will even it out in the shed.

I've got some ww looking like that, some is really ripe other bits of the field we patched by broadcasting as it was far to wet to drill is just finished flowering, bloody nightmare thinking of topping the unripe patches as it has a lot of bg coming into flower now.
