Springhill Texel flock to be sold at Beatties

Written by William Kellett from Agriland

John Foster’s Springhill Texel flock has joined forces with Milestonehill (Murray Annett) and Dynawhyte (Nathan Armstrong) for their forthcoming Female Sale set to take place at Beatties Pedigree Centre, Friday December 3 at 7:00p.m.

The Springhill Flock has won the NI Flock Competition numerous times, and also is a UK Flock Winner.

All of the stock are eligible for immediate export on the night.

The Fosters have hand picked a selection of in lamb stock ewes and gimmers by Strathbogie Bad Boy and Derrylahan Alpha Male.

These are scanned in lamb to the very exciting recent purchase Annaghdown Edoardo who was Reserve Champion at Blessington in August, and Kildall Ethan who was top priced ram lamb at the Big Boys ram sale held at Carrick on Shannon.

John Foster considers these two rams to be ‘top drawer’, and said he has confidence that their lambs will be desirable.

There will also be a number of ewe lambs included in the catalogue by Uskvale Dark Dawn (4000gns) and Uskvale Dark Intentions (5000gns).

The Milestonehill and Dynawhyte flocks have teamed up with Springhill, and have selected a number of females from their very best bloodlines to go under the hammer. Catalogues are now available on request.
