Standing grass price 2021

Grassletting is part of our business on the farm. I think the prices are very location specific. We have the kit to make hay or haylage and that sets the mark to some extent. If we can make more by baling then I would be reluctant to let it for grazing.
A local land agent who does grasslettings in your area will be the person to ask about rental levels. Stock prices have been fairly good in the last year so hopefully there will be some demand.

Looking at selling some Seeds grass 50 acres
What’s the price looking like
Buyer to fertilise

£150/acre/year and then they do all the work and take as many cuts as they wish as well as graze it if required. We have a few fields on these lets. Generally they seem to graze and make hay rather than silage. The silage ones though will do 3 cuts starting april generally. We keep the BPS and some of fields have stewardship strips which we manage and take the payment for.
