Starfire on a massey?

I have a starfire 3000 reciever which I run on a JD6150R through a 2630 screen. I am pricing up a tractor and am considering a massey. My question is will I be able to use the Deere kit to control an autosteer ready massey? or will I have to buy a steering wheel mounted controller to use it across both tractors?

I'm running greenstar through my Massey, admittedly it's a non auto steer ready one, but I've got John deeres Auto Trac Controller fitted, which is JD's valve and steering wheel sensor kit, running on mobile RTK and its spot on!! Not overly expensive if for some reason the new Massey is not yet compatible, but I'm hoping they're all coming to the table with allowing each other's kit to be compatible with all the makes. My next tractor will most likely be a new MF and I'm hoping this is going to be the case. See if your local dealer can find out from someone at MF if it can be done.

Speak to your MF dealer and ask them to contact ATS sales support. All questions are dealt with on a case by case basis.

Put simply starfire kit will not operate as a "plug and play" solution on anything other than JD. Steering wheels and valve kits do provide a work around if necessary.

FYI your existing mobile RTK subscription and sim card will fit straight into MF's Auto-Guide 3000 system and continue to work as you have been used to.

id suggest coming to see us all at Croptec in November to discuss future options. Remember what's current now might night match where your business wants to go in the future

Richard I'd always say you can't put a price on good quality local support, give us a call and we can discuss the options.

I concur. Croptec is a great show for this. You will come away with all of the answers that you need.

I want to do the same thing albeit on a Valtra S series (basically a MF 8700). We already have the 3000/2630 in the combine and I would rather make use ofthat for auto-steer than buy another whole setup for the tractor.
