I bought an offset one last year. It’s a good mower for the price but it struggles with really thick grass. The belts start slipping but it’s absolutely fine for doing verges around fields which is what we bought it for.

The Chinese/cheap imported ones aren't up to proper farm work. They won't last as long as a main stream machine and will have you wasting more time than they are worth. You'll be better of buying a second hand main brand. Better components and better balanced.

have to disagree deutz we have been selling them for about 2 years now and have sold 80 machines as laminated said if your a contractor topping every week then no not the machine for you. But for those who going topping 10 times a year you wont find better value for money or build quality sold a few to forum members machines made in lithuania not china

Assembled in Lithuania or made in Lithuania Big difference! As I’m sure you know if you sell them. Is the Gear box Italian bondioli or comer or Chinese copy? As previous owner mentioned, belts slip on heavy or thick stuff, I’m sure they are ok for the odd bit of topping but bracken and reeds would find its weak spot I’m sure.
