I don't even need a tractor, I get the bog fencing or rewilded field jobs...you know the ones...where the trees have to be chopped down to find the fence line and you can't get a truck any closer than 1/2 a mile away. Charge on a day rate.If your good at Fencing that's the best line to be in , never be without work and all you need is a basic tractor ,a knocker and some tools and work all the year round
Plus driving tractors back wards & forwards across fields become mind numbing once you get past 30, compared to something more creative.Trouble is.. people accept that to be a decent plumber/electrician you need to be trained and qualified and time served. But to be an agri contractor they think you just need the shiny kit, and forget about the slowly accumulated skills and knowledge it takes to actually be able to do the job safely and efficiently.
