steel prices!!

Just a heads up everyone............steel prices are rising quickly currently, with an £80 per tonne uplift planned for January. If you are thinking of doing anything in steel in 2021 then it maybe worth considering asap as you could save some money !

They've been climbing steadily by £30 per tonne every other month but this latest £80 increase takes it to a new level!
Am sure brexit will be having a more immediate impact now in addition to the Covid related reduction in production worldwide!

Something to do with the Belgian plant shutting down and others can't up their production ( for box anyway )

A specialist foundry locally uses a lot of tungsten, they have an old bloke who does the buying, as soon as the price dips he'll buy hundreds of tonnes, leaves the excess in the suppliers yard.

Often the price goes way back up, he'll sell it back to the suppliers, makes millions....
