Stewardship payment dates

Have you got a reason why it's taking so long ?
Your guess is as good as mine.
I find the most frustrating thing is that you can't speak to anyone of authority that can answer that, just the usual "we have until the end of June payment window to pay", which is really helpful when doing cashflow and future planning.

It's annoying, in our case we have put the whole farm into stewardship, so it is alot of money and quite a large percentage of our income now, it's a large scheme which included alot of input and meetings with natural England etc. We were promised prompt payment as they said they understood that because of it we were having a massive hole in our cashflow for around 8 months ! Could do with the money in as we have alot of capital projects to start(tho if the weather doesn't improve we won't be starting them for a while !) and the materials needed will have to be paid for before we can get a claim in !

I commented 'me too' on twitter to someone else's complaint to RPA that they hadn't received CS payment. RPA looked asked me to PM the SBI, agreement no etc and looked into it and within 48 hours I had a reply that the delay was due to some re-mapping (again!!!!) and would be escalated asap. So that means they have decided our fields must be smaller and our payment will no doubt be reduced (commenting on past experiences that fields never seem to get bigger, only smaller).

Anyone still waiting ? We're still on claim validation? Anyone know how long we could be on that ?
Just been on a call with my agent, don’t feel you’re on your own as many of us in the same boat and stuck on validation.
On another note put in for a big concrete renewal grant on Friday and I was sent an accepted agreement today. The world works in mysterious ways with the RPA.

Still on claim validation here too. I didn't get paid until the middle of July last year, so don't pin your hopes on an end of June payment even!

Were still unpaid from Dec 1st.

Luckily we're back on selling hoggs now, so the cash flow crisis is eased, but it would be nice to have it!!

Nothing here, gut feeling is we could be in for a long wait.
How anyone is meant to budget is beyond me, they’re a bloody shambles.

The online system has been down for maintenance for the last couple of days, so can't find out whether we have moved on from validation, we will be contacting them again on Monday to find out something, we understand that ours is a large scheme, our agreement is over 500 pages long and takes some checking but when you enter the scheme and are promised "prompt" payment to your face and the scheme is now 90% of our income it is somewhat worrying!

I’m still on checking stage for my mid tier claim and nearly 8 weeks for a fg2 fencing capital claim. How you can rely on these lot for your cash flow is beyond me. Glad I still have cattle and sheep to sell, I certainly won’t be de stocking any time soon

It is utterly disgracefully when you get sort of answer.
It just adds to the amount of stress we suffer from.

Try mentioning that you need to pass their answer onto your Bank.
That often chivvies them up a bit as they realise you are a bit desperate!
Make sure you get the name of the RPA person you are talking to so as to pass that on too and tell them why.
That usually really starts the ball rolling!

Rang them today, they said they'd paid 80% in December but for the rest of us it'll be anytime between now and end June. Very unfair and broken system.
