I’m still on checking stage for my mid tier claim and nearly 8 weeks for a fg2 fencing capital claim. How you can rely on these lot for your cash flow is beyond me. Glad I still have cattle and sheep to sell, I certainly won’t be de stocking any time soon
Chase your fencing one. I was waiting for my last one right till the end of their payment window which is 2 months for capital claims. Chased it had to wait for a call back and turns out the pictures hadn’t come through on my evidence email after being told they hadn’t received it. Put them on a word document and they have now paid. But with yours being 8 weeks it’s pay to check.
hope they are quicker with my next bugger one which is now in.

Have an agreement to do another 1200 metres of fg2. I’m not starting until the last one is payed. Just have to keep chasing them as you say

Well just as I thought everything with my capital claim must be good as I have not heard anything for 15 days was shattered when I got a e mail this morning stating that 17 of my e mails[out of 21 from 5.02.24] are invalid but not stating a reason !!!! However 15 days ago , an e mail from RPA said it was just three pictures invalid [which I resent for third time]so basically totally confused /annoyed again .
Anyway phoned RPA and got told "they are busy" so have to leave a number for a call back . Just get outside again , 10 minutes later, for them to phone back but it s a crap reception and lots of repeating too and flow , but after 5 minutes the guy says its all to confusing for him to answer /advise so he has put in a "call back request" from the payment division to me but experience from the past means they will either not phone back , or I will miss call/not hear phone ringing/be in a bad reception area .
THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY !!! Bring back the days when you had one point of contact and could talk direct to them and they knew what was going on rather than a office full of random people [or even working from home] which you then spend 5 minutes explaining things while they read e mails and notes at their end before concluding " they need to talk to someone else " and your back to square one again .
What really annoys me is that I have invoices for 54 drinking troughs and my HLS agreement states 54 drinking troughs, 74 gates on invoice and 74 gates on HLS agreement !!! Why don t they they trust me rather than insist a picture of every individual gate and trough ??? On BPS , they trust you when you say a field is OSR or wheat / barley/peas etc , you don t send in evidence .
Sorry , rant over but this side of these agreements are the most stressful for me and we are talking big money for a 300 ac tenant farm. All this stuff was bought last July/August and even since end of November when this claim went in , I have done another £45k worth of work[all materials had to be paid for] which I can t claim on until this claim is paid !! Plus still waiting for revenue money for 2023 . Two capital claims and the revenue is over £120k owing .
Meant to be buying cattle to graze the grassland but that can t happen until I get some of the above money .

Get onto your mp, they need to know what is happening at the coal face and that these systems arnt working. I totally agree that everone should have a point of contact that knows the area and farming system who could have a quick visit and sign everything off that has been done. This is the main reason ive never bothered with any of these grants as the claiming of the money is a pita!

Chased ours a couple of weeks back, got fence payments a week later and the letter for the revenue claim came in today. Shouldn't have to but it certainly looks like chasing it helps

Had a lovely lady on the phone today with a query, we couldn't answer the question and they think it's there mistake and she wondered if they could defer payment for that until next year so they can sort it out and pay the rest, as it's not even 0.1% of the payment we said yes ! So hopefully it will be paid very shortly!

Capital item payed this morning👍 claim was put in early January. Just waiting on revenue now.
Whenever we put a capital claim in they are normally paid within 10 to 14 days sometimes quicker, the revenue claim is what we are waiting for, so hopefully it will be soon !

Well guess what , no one from payments section has phoned me , was told within 2 days !!!!
Also had e mail today with a query on my revenue claim as I had not claimed SP6 , cattle grazing supplement and asking why . Well their rules stated no grazing in first year hence why I did not claim !!!
Anyway sent reply e mail so maybe my revenue money may show up sometime soon ????
Not 100 % sure what to do again with the capital claim but will wait to see if they phone tomorrow .

Well a very helpful lady did phone on Friday from the RPA !!
Had a good chat and I told her the issues and confusion over multiple e mails . She said to leave it to her and she would look into it . Fair enough , three hours later she phoned back to say she had sent an e mail listing the missing photos . No idea why as I have sent them three times but there were 18 photos they required and she suggested I print them out and send them as hard copies which I did yesterday and sent them this morning ( tracked/ signed for)so see how it goes?

Isn’t this yet another prime example of what was farming money being simply diverted to suppliers, seems farmers are now simply propping up other parts of the economy with further borrowing & what was previously money to keep UK farming viable.
In a few years UK farming will be in a serious way when a change of government decides to change things yet again & all this additional borrowing has to be financed with what?

Our first year in a mid tier CS revenue scheme, start date 1/1/24. We have just received an email saying claims must be submitted by 15 May.

Which is a pleasant surprise, if it means payment will be made some point in 2024 ? Reading a few posts on here it sounds like folks have been waiting till now for their 2023 payment ? Have they changed the payment schedule ? Or have I read the email , or posts on here, wrong ?

I think once you submit you will expect payment some time inside the Dec 1st 2024 and June 2025 payment window.

I think in fairness alot of folk got paid early Dec, but not all!! 🫣
