Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw?

I am considering buying a Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw to replace my old Husqvarna xp 550, as it needs a new piston and cylinder ( very little compression).
If any of you use Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw on a regular basis, I would very much like to hear what you think of it.Thankyou.

No , but I certainly will do especially if it’s not electronic carb.

The old Stihl Farm boss has long since been finished ,its all the MS range now or the Mtronic which are the auto tune carbs and Ive seen boat loads of both husky and stihl electronic models all with fuel problems ,especially now with the E10 ,even though they say its compatible ,its not

I've got a Stihl farm boss 039 it was new back in 1997 it's done a lot of cutting I used to do logs to make extra cash and had a lot of use on the farm as well it still goes well . We bought a new ms for the farm after storm arwen and it's a very good saw as well it made me realise how old mine is now and how much compression it's lost over the years when you pick up the new one it certainly takes more of a pull to get it going.

Parts are still available for them but honestly just buy a new MS stihl the one we got wasn't too expensive.
