That also explains why we still have a Tory pro-Brexit government.

Anyway, apologies for the dig - in fact, it's an extremely common error. Lyn Truss is giving a tour around the UK on 'Eats Shoots and Leaves' this autumn, I recommend it as a fun evening for anyone fascinated by the semi-colon.

On the OP, the WAG is now offering Glastir Advanced 5 year contracts for 2018/2022 after a hiatus; they know the way this is going to go.

Off topic to the OP, but doesn't she spell her name Lynne?

We'll be in the CAP for another decade yet while Westminster weans itself off the highly Superior brainpower held up in Brussels/ we're signed up for things now after 2022 in the treaties

Then we'll end up being paid for gardening like the swiss do

I checked the flyer (17th Sept in the Torch) and you're absolutely correct - Lynne.

Other spellings are available: Lin, Lyn, Lynn, Lyne - the last being a version that a female Agco employee at Leamington bears. (Her job is to try to fob off farmers who were sold a Massey under false pretences, and which has been a bag of trouble, and then pretend that it is nothing to do with Agco. Just like Brexit, she is finding it is not that easy - take a bow, Mrs Lyne Murray....)

Yes I really don't think we will leave!
If we do not leave now it will be a disaster. for two main reasons:

The government asked the people what they wanted and they said leave. If we do not, then democracy in britain is dead.

If the EU see us back down, then they will realise that they can impose whatever rules, fines and deals on us and we will obay, we will never have the same bargining power in the EU, but will be 'punished' for upsetting the apple cart.

We have taken one path, whatever happens, to deviate from it will end in disaster.

we will leave, there will be no deal with the EU IMO - they are too far apart

we will do deals with rest of world, EU countries will be able to trade with us on same basis or ignore the market ...............they will break ranks and trade (that will be the end of the EU)

thats my prediction ! it will all be fine (long term) short term its going to be a right old mess though !! time to batten down the hatches and make sure your business can survive without sub

Can't seem to load Youtube videos on here anymore, but there's a pile on there from a disgruntled MF owner called ' attitude adjuster '.
Also, a thread about it on here somewhere.

Governments of all colours, for the last 40 years have left 'governing' to the EU. We neither have the skills nor inclination to govern any more. Tribal or party loyalty comes first: that particularly applies to trade negotiations.
Subs are the least of our worries.
Becoming a third country, trying to export perishable product into fortress EU is. Today it is as easy to truck goods from Manchester to Milan as it is within the counties of the UK .
But at midnight on 29th March 2019, we become that 'third country' and regulatory convergence will count for little if Border Inspection Posts are not in place with the appropriate infrastructure to move goods.

Operation stack will end at the farm gate.
The only way to avoid this is to rejoin the EEA / EFTA countries and piggy back their access.

That's a fair assessment.

I doubt it, personally - although I can see why you'd think it - because the political realities for the Conservative party suggests that would be a very bad idea.

Good tractor, bad dealer.

I am in the middle of interesting discussions with Agco's legal department (who are at present investigating the matter, having been persuaded to do so by yours truly) and I hope, in due course, to put up a thread on the experience.

[Did you know that there is an extremely knowledgeable and fluent Press commentator on the BTL pages of the FT who shares your name?]

its also easy to sent a truck from Milan to Manchester

lets not forget they need trade with us more than we need trade with them - if EU leaders turn their back on the UK market they will have riots of unemployed citizens to deal with...............they will trade
