was thinking about spreading them about on the pasture......but don't really think it's a runner TBH

Terram , the breathable 'geotextile ' type makes a more convenient tempory cover than straw, will keep a bit of frost off , not -5 degrees tho

i've got beet covers so thats not a prob....i thought mild weather was worse for keeping TBH

I used them last year and spread them across the field. The field is predominately sand though so not sure if that helped them keep?

I’ve always thought that the case. Frozen carrots keep ages, it’s when they thaw they go to mush.
Single figures and they’ll keep up to 3 weeks, if temps are in double figures 2 weeks is more likely.
