Mounting one on a Tulip Vario ( like a sumo trio) for forage rape and grass seed into stubble.

Hasn't arrived yet but making the brackets up now so it can be working soon after it arrives.

3m machine, 6 outlets and block 2 to have more air flow or use all 8 for better coverage?

Pipes would be nearly all the same length anyway but would you cut the pipes all exactly the same length so the seed arrives and stops at each plate exactly the same time?

What height for for the spread plates from the ground?

Spread plates parallel to the ground or slight angle?

How does the rail attach to machine, do you just drill some bolt holes and bolt it to machine as I will have a length of angle on the back to hold it.

Was going to put plates right at the back behind roller to avoid soil that is being thrown up, hopefully a more firm level bed after packer and also packer is maxi packer the same as a Kuhn PH so thinking the spikes on it will push some seed a lot deeper. It will all be rolled after regardless.

Stocks have emailed me a drawing of seeder unit to make up a mounting bracket but would like to hear what people have found best. Thanks

I can answer 2 questions the pipe length doesn't matter if there's a bit of a difference and 6 will be enough for a 3m machine but use 8 if you want

I'd set the plates no less than half a metre above the ground with the splash plate at an angle and the pipes straight that's how my grass harrow is set up and works well

The plates should be 1.5 times as high as they are apart, so if fitting 6, they should be 50cm apart and 75cm above the ground.
If going for a 100% pucker job there should be 50cm of straight vertical feed pipe above the splash plate to reduce swirling in the pipe and ensure the seed dosen't all go to one side or the other from the plate.
