Stolen electric fencers

Hi , in the past 24 hours I've had two stolen from my grazing fields. In both cases they were well hidden. Before I go and buy another two to get stolen, does anyone have trackers fitted in their's? These fields are quite a distance from the farm buildings, too far for my mains electric fence circuit but just off a road. Thanks

I have burnt my post code into the plastic body of my units and painted a big white X on all sides also on the batteries. Since doing this I've had none stolen. Another thing to do is make sure you cover up the flashing light if it has one, they are a dead giveaway at night.
What did you use to burn your post code

I dig a hole put a board over and put some soil back over. I then Run some long black wire from it a fair way to fencer to try and deter. I sometimes put an old faulty fencer as a decoy

At least put a bucket over to hide the light or some tape over light

We had a couple of Voss units nicked 2 years ago.
They had empty (70 kg) Red Max tubs over them to keep the weather off.
The field was behind a big hedge against the A46

This winter we’ve had lambs on turnips against some busy roads & fortunately been okay.

Sheep grazer on my place had a steel box on a pole that was live when the fencer inside was on. It had an insulated key hole to get in and switch on and off. Might have a Rutland product.
We have one of them. Got it after we lost 3 units and batteries in one afternoon.
I reckon ours is a Hotline.

Edit: it's like this...

Holds a Falcon or Buzzard unit and a battery.

Good idea but the thieving bas tards see a field in daylight being strip grazed and they know there's probably a fencer and a battery needing to be rehomed.
Nothing too hot or too heavy.

Yeah, they don't need to be Einstein to know that if they walk round the outside they'll eventually come to a unit and a battery 😣
